Visit the Palau de la Música Catalana, considered a masterpiece of Catalan Modernism. It was built between 1905 and 1908 by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner as the home of the Orfeó Català choir and was funded by public donations.
It is an icon of Catalan architectural and musical heritage.

The central metal structure, which is clad in glass plays with the light, converts Domènech i Montaner’s most important work into a magical music box that combines all the applied arts: sculpture, mosaics, stained glass and wrought iron.

An emblematic Catalan art-nouveau concert hall, the Palau de was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

The Foyer, a new area which provides a meeting place, is open to the public every day.

The Palau’s Modernista hall, flanked by two lamps characteristic of Barcelona at the time, is the former main entrance.

The concert hall, with its harmonious proportions, sumptuous decor and a great skylight, which floods the space with light. You’ll have the unique chance to walk on stage and see the auditorium through the eyes of the performers.
