With this full-day excursion, you will visit the Costa Brava, see some incredibly beautiful scenery of the Mediterranean coastline and wander through some typical seaside towns.
Girona’s coast was given the name Costa Brava 100 years ago due to its steep and craggy relief, bathed by crystal-clear Mediterranean waters and with numerous small coves surrounded by pine trees.
Description
- The first town you will visit is Calella de Palafrugell, a small fishing village, where you can enjoy the scenery and take some amazing photographs.
- A short stroll along the Camino de Ronda will bring you to some pretty spots before reaching the town of Llafranc, another small fishing village.
- Next continue on to the medieval town of Pals, located inland perched on the top of a hill, with its cobbled streets.
- Your next stop will be L’Estartit, another fishing town with an important harbor, internationally renowned for its diving thanks to the Medas islands archipelago found close to its shoreline. The Medas Islands are home to an extensive variety of flora and fauna. It is a protected nature reserve and considered one of the best in the Western Mediterranean.
- After lunch and a stroll through the town, board the Nautilus, a glass-bottomed boat, and sail around the islands before cruising along the coastline on a one and a half hour trip. Then continue to the spectacular cliffs of the Montgrí massif, only accessible from the sea, one of the most untouched areas of the Costa Brava.
- The final stop is the Greco-Roman site of Empúries, where you will be able to visit the entire site.
